Sandra Sutter, a Cree Métis woman from the Prairies, is the Aboriginal Partnerships Manager for Tarpon Energy Services and CGT Industrial and the Executive Director for the Circle for Aboriginal Relations (CFAR) Society.

She has been involved in the financial, utility, non-profit, accounting and oil and gas sectors in her professional and volunteer life since moving to Calgary in 1988.

Ms. Sutter currently serves on the Board of Directors for Careers – the Next Generation, the Canadian Forces Liaison Council and the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension Indigenous Community-Industry Relations. She is on the Senate of the Aboriginal Friendship Centre of Calgary and co-Chairs the National Negotiating Committee for the National Association of Friendship Centres. She acts as an Advisor to Calgary Alliance for the Common Good, the Indigenous Opportunities Committee (Calgary Chamber of Commerce), the Indigenous Gathering Place (Calgary), and NetPositive. Sandra is a member of the Métis Women’s Economic Security Council for the Province of Alberta and Professional Aboriginal Women in Industry. She was honored to receive a Metis Entrepreneurial Business Award for service to the local Metis business community from Métis Region 3 in 2014.

Ms. Sutter is a life-long learner with a deep passion for Indigenous community and received a Citation in Indigenous Community Engagement from the University of Alberta Faculty of Extension in June 2017.

Sandra is a published poet, singer/songwriter/musician and public speaker/emcee in her leisure time. Her Reconciliation focused album, Cluster Stars, received 9 nominations in 2018, and was awarded Best Americana Recording from the Native American Music Awards.
