Dr. Ruth Williams

Business Advisor/Project Manager of the Pathways to Technology Project with All Nations Trust Company

Dr. Ruth Williams is from High Bar First Nation in British Columbia and is currently the Business Advisor and Project Manager of the Pathways to Technology Project with All Nations Trust Company. She has over 27 years of experience in financial, risk management, program, and human resource management. Dr. Williams is also the previous Chief Executive Officer and founding member of All Nations Trust Company. Through the All Nations Trust Company, Dr. Williams has overseen the management of agreements with a value of up to $75 Million. Currently, the All Nations Trust Company has funds under administration of over $50 million.

Dr. Williams has been a member of the First Citizens Fund Advisory Board and the British Columbia First Nations Economic Advisory committee. She was Vice President of the Western Aboriginal Economic Development Board, as well as a member of the National Executive team, and is currently the Vice Chairperson of the First Nations Market Housing Fund.

Dr. Williams has been a leader in social and economic development for First Nations peoples in British Columbia for 35 years. She has been a member of dozens of organizations over the years and has often assumed a leadership role. Her involvement in housing issues includes the Aboriginal Housing Committee of British Columbia, the role of President of the Kamloops Native Housing Society, Vice-Chairperson of the First Nations Market Housing Fund, and a member of the Province of British Columbia’s committee for the development of the ten-year action plan for Indigenous housing. She also sits on the Board of Governors for Thompson Rivers University and is the President of Kamloops Native Housing Society.

In 2010, Dr. Williams received an honorary Doctor of Law from Thompson River University.
